Straight answers. No small print.

Everything worth asking before the first booking.

Whether you are building a show page or looking for the right act, here is how the platform, diary and booking journey actually work.

01 · The essentials

Getting started

What the platform is, who it is for and what you can do without paying.

What is Fill My Slot?

Fill My Slot gives entertainers a professional home for each show, a proper gig diary and a direct booking journey. Bookers can discover acts, see the information they need and search for artists whose diaries show they are genuinely available.

Who is Fill My Slot for?

It is built for working entertainers—including singers, DJs, tribute acts, bands, karaoke hosts and other live performers—and for the venues, event organisers and private bookers who hire them.

Is Fill My Slot genuinely free?

Yes. The permanent Free plan includes one published show page, the full gig diary, core show content, an enquiry button and visibility in relevant availability searches. There is no card required and no booking commission. Premium adds more shows, richer page-building tools, stronger discovery presentation and public availability sharing.

Do I need an existing website?

No. Your show page can be the professional link you share with bookers. If you already have a website or social accounts, Fill My Slot can work alongside them as the place where presentation, real availability and booking conversation come together.

02 · For entertainers

Shows, diary and visibility

How your public presence connects to the private tools you use to run your work.

What is the difference between my profile and a show page?

Your profile brings your work together under one identity. A show page sells one specific act—its poster, pitch, media, highlights, FAQs and booking route—so a booker can understand exactly what they are considering.

Can I manage more than one show?

Yes. Premium artists can publish multiple show pages under one profile while keeping every booking in one diary. Free accounts can publish one show, which is enough to build and share a complete booking presence.

What can the public see from my diary?

Your backstage diary is private. Booker-facing availability can use dates and times to return a useful answer without revealing private client names, venues or notes. Only gigs you deliberately make public can appear as upcoming dates on a show page.

What does verifying my diary mean?

Verification is your confirmation that the diary is current. It gives bookers a stronger reason to trust availability shown in discovery. If it expires, you can refresh it after checking that recent gigs and unavailable time are recorded.

Can I record private gigs or time I cannot work?

Yes. Private gigs still protect the time in your diary without advertising the event publicly. You can also mark time as unavailable, so a personal commitment does not have to be described as a booking.

Does Fill My Slot take commission from my bookings?

No. Fill My Slot does not take a percentage of your fee. Premium is funded by subscription; your price and commercial relationship remain between you and the booker.

03 · For bookers

Finding and booking an act

What availability means and what happens when you want to start a conversation.

What is the difference between Find available acts and Browse all?

Find available acts is for a real event: enter the date, start and end time, location and distance to return suitable shows from acts whose current diaries do not conflict. Browse all is for discovery when you are still exploring and do not yet need to restrict results to a particular date or travel area.

Do I need an account to browse artists?

No. Public profiles, show pages and artist discovery are open to browse. An account gives you a proper place to keep conversations and take a booking from enquiry through proposal and decision.

Is the availability shown a guaranteed booking?

No calendar can replace the final conversation. Availability is based on the artist’s diary, unavailable time and verification status, making it far more useful than a blind enquiry. The artist and booker still confirm that the time, travel, fee and event details work for both sides.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

The enquiry opens a private conversation connected to the show. You can discuss the event, agree details and send or respond to a structured booking proposal without losing the context in scattered messages.

Does Fill My Slot collect the artist’s fee or provide the contract?

Not currently. Fill My Slot organises discovery, availability, conversation and the booking decision. Payment terms, deposits, contracts and any event-specific conditions are agreed directly between artist and booker.

04 · Access and support

Web, app and help

Where you can use Fill My Slot and how to reach us when something is unclear.

Can I use Fill My Slot on the web and on my phone?

Yes. Fill My Slot works on the web and the iOS app is available from the App Store. Android is coming soon. Your account and data stay connected, so the diary and conversations you update on one device are there on the others.

How does Fill My Slot protect private booking information?

Public pages are deliberately separated from private diary and conversation data. Availability is designed to answer whether time is workable without publishing confidential booking details. You remain responsible for what you choose to add to public show content.

How do I get support or report a problem?

Use the contact page and tell us what you were doing, what happened and what you expected to happen. Screenshots and the page you were using are especially helpful when reporting a display or workflow problem.
